At Peak Activities (part of Keys Group) we offer a wide range of exhilarating outdoor activities, team-building programs, and educational experiences to individuals, families, schools, and corporate groups across our 5 Activity centres.

Our staff are at the centre of everything we do, and as a member of the team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring all our customers have a fantastic and memorable experience during their time with us.

At Keys Group we have 25 schools access our outdoor activity centres as part of their curriculum. The successful applicant will work closely with our schools, co-ordinating and leading activity sessions.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and driven instructors to work at Chasewater Activity Centre. Chasewater Activity Centre is located just off the M6 in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

At Chasewater Activity Centre We offer various activities both on land and water and have our 76 bed dormitories for a residential to remember. We can cater for all types of groups, from scouts & brownies through to corporate, schools & DofE! No two days will be the same!

Who are we looking for:

You will be expected to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner linked to high quality learning outcomes.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and people skills. You should be able to manage a group in potentially challenging situations.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, however we are willing to consider applicants with the right attitude and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

Essential qualification: 2 of the below

Desirable qualifications: 3 of the below

  •  RCI or CWI or other relevant ropes-based qualification
  • Archery GB Instructor award
  • Mountain Bike Leader/instructor or equivalent
  • Paddlesports Instructor / Coach or equivalent
  • RYA instructor or equivalent
  • DofE Assessor
  • Bushcraft practitioner
  • ML or HML Award or equivalent
  • RPIOL or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid Qualification
  • NGB

Working Hours:

Due to the variation of our activities and changing customer requirements our working day is of a flexible nature. Working days range from 4 to 10 hours and include, overnights, weekend and bank holiday working as agreed with the Centre Manager.

Safeguarding:

Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check with child and adult barred checklists included – if you do not have one, this can be instigated for you.
